He then earned his Pharmacy Doctorate degree from USC Pharmacy School. He has practiced pharmacy at different hospital and retail settings over the past many years. He is currently practicing in Glendale and is the owner of Glendale Urgent Care Pharmacy.
Dr. Jenia Tahmasian-Papazian is also a board certified pharmacist who has been practicing since 2006. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology and Psychology from CSUN and continued thereafter to earn her Pharmacy Doctorate Degree at Western University of Health Sciences. She has practiced pharmacy at different retail and corporate settings and has held numerous upper management positions. Dr. Christopher Kaypekian is part of the new wave of young Armenian doctors treating Glendale's population today. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and is a graduate of the AUC School of Medicine in the Netherlands, Antilles.
Dr. Kaypekian completed his residency in Anesthesia at world renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City; and subsequently, a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics under the mentorship of recognized figures who are pioneers in the field of Pain Medicine, before making his home in Glendale.

Dr. Haroutun Hovanesian is a Board Certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the treatment of vitreo-retinal diseases, as well as cataracts, and a wide variety of other eye disorders. He practices at the Specialty Eye Care Medical Center, with its three locations in Glendale, Sherman Oaks, and Hollywood.
Dr. Hovanesian earned his medical degree at the Yerevan State Medical Institute. After graduating from medical school, he decided to specialize in ophthalmology at the Helmholtz Eye Institute in Moscow. Dr. Hovanesian's thesis of dissertation was awarded the highest recognition prize established for young scientists in the former Soviet Union. Upon completion of his ophthalmology training, Dr. Hovanesian practiced as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Yerevan State Medical Institute.
In 1990 Dr. Hovanesian relocated to the U.S. He was first a Research Associate at the Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California, and then continued his research in the treatment of macular degeneration at the University of Chicago. The results of his research were published in the leading ophthalmology journals. His research work in the methods of RPE transplantation was awarded the 1st Prize by the Chicago Ophthalmological Society. His residency training in ophthalmology continued at the University of Chicago Hospitals, where he became the chief resident. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Hovanesian continued his training as a fellow in treatment of vitreo-retinal diseases at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Hovanesian is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, member of the American Society Retina Specialists and Armenian American Medical Society of Southern California.
Dr. Mireille Hamparian is a board-certified ophthalmologist and eye surgeon who specializes in glaucoma. Dr. Hamparian treats a wide variety of eye diseases, including cataracts. Her practice provides a special emphasis in treating glaucoma, from diagnosis to treatment, from medical therapy to lasers and surgery.
Dr. Hamparian earned her B.S. in Biochemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles and went on to earn her Doctorate of Medicine degree at Albany Medical College in New York. Dr. Mutafyan is a Board Certified Advanced Laparoscopic General and Weight Loss Surgeon practicing in the Los Angeles area. He recently moved from the east coast where he did advanced training at Duke University and served as a Minimally Invasive Fellow in Advanced Laparoscopic General and Weight Loss Surgery. Previously he worked as a surgical intern at Oregon Health and Science University and graduated from the General Surgery Residency Program at Michigan State University. Dr. Mutafyan trained with world famous bariatric expert Dr. Eric J.
